IPATINGA, BRAZIL – JANUARY 6, 2024 The bodies of the two sisters, identified as 34-year-old Camila Keila Ribeiro da Cruz and 50-year-old Elisangela Ribeiro da Cruz, were found on an unpaved road in the Chácara Madalena neighbourhood.

Both had been shot through the head, their hands tied behind their backs, their feet bound and their mouths covered with bags and duct tape. Tire tracks and 9mm shell casings were found at the scene. The motive is still unknown and is under investigation by police.
