Two favela girls punished for talking to rival

BRAZIL Two teenage girls broke the first rule of all gangs, which is not to talk to a rival. These rules don’t just apply to gangsters, but to all the residents of the favela the gang controls. The first time, they got a light punishment, but the second time, they’d be risking their lives. They were humiliated and beaten with a wooden stick. Before they were let go, their hair was cut off.
