NIGERIA – SEPTEMBER 28, 2026 Brutal video depicting the execution of two men has been leaked online. The armed men dragged them to a remote location, where they tied them up and beheaded them with knives.
The identities of the victims and the reason for their execution are unknown, and the case is currently under investigation. The armed men were identified as members of the notorious Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram.
The security situation is currently very serious in some parts of Nigeria. In the country’s northeast, particularly in Borno State, two terrorist groups operate: Boko Haram and ISWAP (the African faction of the Islamic State). Kidnappings, killings, extortion, and forced displacement of residents occur there on a daily basis.
