BAHIA, BRAZIL – JANUARY 24, 2026 On the BA‑131 road, in the section between the towns of Jacobina and Miguel Calmon, a fatal accident occurred involving two men traveling together on motorcycles. According to all available information, they were riding too close to each other and collided. This caused both to lose control and crash head-on into an oncoming car. Both men died at the scene, with one of them being split in half by the impact. The occupants of the car were taken to medical care in stable condition.
The incident serves as a harsh reminder of the importance of following traffic rules, especially for motorcyclists, who are among the most vulnerable road users. Riding closely with a friend is an enormous risk that is not worth copying.
