VODYTSIA, RAKHIV DISTRICT, UKRAINE – AUGUST 7, 2025 Former Ukrainian army serviceman and war veteran (39), who retired due to psychological problems, brutally murdered his 45-year-old wife during an argument. He stabbed her in the neck and then strangled her to death. Immediately afterward, he cut off his penis with the same knife and ran outside the house.
The sight of the bloodied man with mutilated genitals shocked all the neighbors. They called emergency services, who escorted him in critical condition to the hospital. His wife could no longer be helped and was pronounced dead.
Neighbors testified that they had been married since 2018 and were raising two minor children together. Although he was always extremely jealous, his war experience severely damaged his mental health and the arguments in the marriage kept escalating. However, some neighbors said that his jealousy was justified. Reportedly, it was widely known that his wife was having a sexual relationship with another man.
