SA PA, VIETNAM – AUGUST 31, 2022 Tragic accident occurred when a five-year-old girl, playing unsupervised on the street, attempted to cross the road and stepped right in front of a moving hotel shuttle cart. Despite the driver’s immediate reaction, nothing could be done to prevent the tragedy. The girl was struck and run over.
According to witnesses and investigations, irresponsible parents allowed their daughter to play on the street without supervision, which turned out to be a fatal mistake. In such situations, it’s difficult to know what to do, but despite this tragic incident, the shuttle cart driver acted commendably. He immediately took the injured girl in his arms and rushed her to the hospital without hesitation.
It is true that in cases of severe and life-threatening injuries, it is usually advised not to move the body to prevent further harm, such as to the spinal cord. However, in this case, saving the girl’s life was the priority, and the driver chose to act quickly, bringing her to professional medical help as soon as possible.
This event once again raises concerns about road safety in the city, where tourist shuttle carts are operating, and the need for stricter regulations and monitoring. It also highlights the importance of parental responsibility, as parents should supervise their children’s safety, especially in areas where motor vehicles are present.
Local authorities have launched an investigation, and while it has been proven that the driver did not break any rules, this incident is a tragic reminder of how fragile human safety can be when responsibility is lacking from all parties involved.
