NIGERIA Villagers caught a man in the act of committing an unspecified crime. They took justice into their own hands and punished him through street justice. They tied him up and hung him by all four limbs from a tree branch, causing the man unbearable pain.
Although street justice may sometimes seem like a quick and effective solution, it is actually a gross violation of human rights. Even the worst criminal always has the right to a fair trial and punishment under the law. Never take part in acts of street justice, and always call the police instead.
