PIAUÍ, BRAZIL Boy, left unsupervised by his parents, tried to climb onto the roof of their family home. One of the walls, however, couldn’t withstand the pressure of his weight and collapsed. The boy fell and was killed by the falling debris.
The incident serves as a lesson for all parents that sometimes a single moment of inattention can lead to tragedy. Young children need to be constantly supervised, and their play and exploration areas should be made safe. At the same time, children should be educated about the risks their actions can pose.
