HONG KONG – JUNE 23, 2025 Famous Hong Kong action film director Tang Chia (唐佳) committed suicide at the age of 88 by jumping from a high-rise building. He was found dead at the intersection of Austin Road, Jue Shi Road, and Pine Shan Road in the Tsim Sha Tsui area. During the fall, he likely hit something, which caused his decapitation.

Tang Chia was married for many years to the artist Xue Ni, who had pancreatic cancer and was hospitalized with the worst possible prognosis. According to his acquaintances, her illness deeply affected him, and since then he often expressed his unhappy mood and reluctance toward life.
