KAZAN, TATARSTAN, RUSSIA – OCTOBER 14, 2025 Incident occurred in the early hours on Vosstaniya Street near a gymnasium building. 34-year-old Irina had brought her child there and accompanied them to school. As she was returning to her car and preparing to leave, a man on an electric bike arrived. He parked, waited for the woman, and attacked her – brutally striking her in the neck and chest. The assault was stopped only when passing bystanders confronted the attacker, forcing him to flee. Irina sought treatment at a hospital, where doctors described her condition as serious and admitted her for hospitalization.
The investigation revealed that Irina is the wife of a prominent Russian businessman. Her husband owns several companies that receive government contracts for road and highway construction. It is not yet clear whether this was connected to the attack.
