PORTO REAL, BRAZIL – MARCH 9, 2024 A 17-year-old youth and his 23-year-old friend attracted the attention of a police patrol. The older of the two was a known drug dealer. When the police patrol started to approach them, the two gangsters started a shootout, got on a motorcycle and started to drive away.
The officers started to chase them, but the gangsters kept on shooting. One policeman was hit right in the eye. The officers returned fire and fatally hit the younger gangster. He fell dead on the spot. The older gangster fled the scene.
The wounded officer was treated at a local hospital and survived. But he will probably never see out of one eye again.
