NOVO PROGRESSO, PARÁ, BRAZIL – MARCH 5, 2026 In the Jardim América neighborhood, on Rua Bélgica, a woman inside a bar was attacked. A man armed with a knife walked in and, without hesitation, assaulted her and stabbed her to death. He then fled the scene.

The victim was identified only as Suelen. Initial police investigations suggest the murder may have been motivated by revenge. Suelen was reportedly the main suspect in the killing of a man linked to illegal gold mining in the area.
