BOCA DEL RIO, MEXICO – JANUARY, 2010 Nayeli Reyes, 32, was kidnapped by a gang of gunmen while on her way to work. Her body was found some time later. She had been cut open and a knife was attached to her with a warning message from the cartel. Her body showed signs of inhuman torture.

Mexican authorities believe that this cartel action was carried out in retaliation for the arrest of a high-ranking cartel member in the Gulf.
