MACEIÓ, ALAGOAS, BRAZIL – MAY 24, 2025 In the Tabuleiro do Martins neighborhood, a double murder occurred. The victims were 28-year-old Iara Vicente da Silva and her one-year-old daughter (not pictured). Both were found dead in their home with multiple stab wounds. The suspect was identified by the police as her partner, 35-year-old Ivaldo dos Santos Felizardo.

After several hours of searching, Ivaldo was arrested in the nearby Feitosa neighborhood. During the police interrogation, he stated that he remembers sending his wife several threatening messages the night before the incident. However, he claims not to remember the actual act because he had consumed alcohol and drugs.
Ivaldo was charged with double murder and placed in custody. The investigation continues, with police focusing on possible motives and circumstances that led to this brutal crime.
