MARTOPURO, EAST JAVA, INDONESIA – JANUARY 8, 2021 Body of a naked woman was found in the Martopuro River in Purwosari District. A local resident noticed the body when he was preparing to bathe in the river in the morning. The woman was lying face down on a rock and was not wearing any clothes.
According to police, no signs of violence were found during the initial examination. Local residents said they knew the woman and that she had mental health problems and lived near the river. The day before her body was found, she was reportedly seen being swept away by the current, but subsequent efforts to find her were unsuccessful.
