MANDALAY, MYANMAR (BURMA) – MARCH 8, 2024 A young couple was found lifeless at the Udigone Muslim Cemetery in Chhokboe Township in Myanmar’s second largest city, Mandalay. They probably committed suicide together by hanging.
They left behind two children aged 3 and 5. Their neighbors and acquaintances said the young couple had no debts or other reasons that could have led to suicide. Just days before the incident, they were seen rejoicing and dancing at a village party.
If you’re thinking about suicide, please stop and recognize that your pain is not permanent, but this step would be. It may feel like there’s no other way, but there is hope, even if it’s hard to see right now. Your feelings are temporary, and with help, they can pass.
