AMPARO, SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – MAY 23, 2026 Brutal murder of a 34-year-old man took place. Twenty-year-old Lucas Eduardo claimed that he intervened after catching a relative of his wife attacking her. According to his testimony, the woman had allegedly been sexually abused by this man in the past. During the confrontation, Lucas stabbed the victim with a knife and subsequently dismembered his body using a knife and a saw. He then allegedly distributed the body parts across several locations throughout the city.

Police began investigating the circumstances of the crime as well as Lucas’ defense that he had acted to protect his wife. Investigators also examined a possible ritualistic motive after discovering objects and an area resembling an altar inside the house. Later, Lucas’ wife, Beatriz Jacinto, was also detained in connection with the case on suspicion of participating in the murder. The allegations of previous sexual abuse and the exact circumstances of the crime must be considered subjects of the ongoing investigation.
