ECUADOR Several witnesses said they heard seven shots. When they went to see what had happened, they found a young woman freshly shot. She was lying topless in the grass with a gunshot wound to her head, suggesting that someone had executed her. Not far from her body, by the river, her shoes were found. Police were able to identify the victim as a 20-year-old migrant from Venezuela. The cause of her death remains unclear.
