SANTA CRUZ, RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, BRAZIL – APRIL 28, 2025 21-year-old woman, Luana Jamilly Lopes de Souza, was brutally murdered in the early hours in Santa Cruz. A man beat her with a motorcycle helmet on the head until she died. Witnesses described her desperate cries for help full of pain, but when they arrived at the scene, it was already too late, and they could not help her. Several of them caught a glimpse of the fleeing perpetrator, but no one was able to properly describe or identify him. Preliminary findings of the investigation suggest that the murder was committed out of passion.
