They cause euphoria and a feeling of relaxation. However, it is also the beginning of the end, because inhalation of these substances is considered one of the most dangerous forms of drug abuse. It damages the brain and nervous system, causes heart arrhythmia, puts strain on the liver and kidneys, and leads to strong addiction.
One of the risks is also the fact that these volatile substances replace oxygen in the lungs, and the person’s blood does not get properly oxygenated. That is exactly the case of the young woman in the photos, who died of chemical hypoxia.
