MARABÁ, BRAZIL – MAY 22, 2017 Maria Santa Araújo Régis, 19, who called herself “Paola”, was shot dead outside the house where she lived. A gunman was waiting for her and fled immediately after the murder. Her family said Maria was a troubled girl with a disorderly life. In addition, she was dating a criminal, Melck Henrique Silva Souza, who had stolen several motorcycles.
