MARINGÁ, BRAZIL – 2007 10-year-old Marcia Constantine was abducted from the church courtyard where she was playing with other children. 43-year-old Nathanael Búfalo took her to his house. There he sexually abused her and suffocated her using his hands and a plastic bag. He then loaded the girl’s corpse into the trunk of his car and drove her to the woods, where he set her body on fire in an attempt to get rid of the evidence.

Nathanael was a pastor at the church and a family friend. Marcia’s parents were very religious and never dreamed that there would be any danger. He was convicted of having semen in the girl’s vagina and sentenced to 28 years in prison.
