PINAGBUHATAN, PASIG, MANILA, PHILIPPINES – SEPTEMBER 4, 2017 A 16-year-old high school student, Grace Omadlao, was found dead about 100 meters from her house. A closer examination of the body confirmed a sexual motive for the crime.

Shortly after her body was found, police arrested four perpetrators: 31 year old Joel Manuel; his 27 year old brother Emmanuel Jr; 22 year old brother Jomari and their 18 year old friend John Jericho Peralta. The last one did not actively participate in the rape, but only witnessed the act. All four confessed to the crime. They were known in the area as a bunch of drug users.
