PHILIPPINES – JANUARY 12, 2017 The case of 17-year-old Richelle Sagang shook the entire Philippines. First, the dead body of a headless girl was found in the Bulacan region, which lies north of Manila. The head was only found a few days later in a river in Makati, a suburb of Manila. As part of the investigation, the girl was successfully identified, which was helped by her father, Noel Sagbang. He had been missing his daughter for a long time and finally recognized her by her birthmark.

After weeks of investigation, police zeroed in on several suspects. To a rich family from Manila where Richelle worked as a maid. She allegedly started an affair with a man from this family, which surfaced and the family decided to get rid of her. Several people held her and one cut off her head.
