SANTO DOMINGO DE LOS TSÁCHILAS, ECUADOR 19-year-old Darwin was riding his motorcycle on the road to the town of Quininde. He failed to notice a poorly parked stationery trailer on the side of the road and crashed into it at full speed. The collision took his head off.

The driver of the trailer fled the scene. It is believed he stopped at the scene due to a blown tire and failed to place the appropriate safety signs on the road.
