RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, BRAZIL – MARCH 30, 2025 On RN-016 road in the western part of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, a tragic traffic accident occurred in which a mother and daughter were killed. They were traveling together on a motorcycle when they were struck by a detached bus tire near the entrance to the town of Assú. The bus driver fled the scene.

The victims were identified as 37-year-old Adriana Constantino dos Santos, who was riding the motorcycle, and 17-year-old Andresa Constantino Maria. Andresa survived for a short time after the accident but was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The bus was being used to transport workers from a rural area. After inspection, the police stated that the accident was caused by the vehicle’s poor technical condition.
