CALI, VALLE DEL CAUCA, COLOMBIA – SEPTEMBER 23, 2026 22-year-old Isabella Cruz Murillo died in a brutal traffic accident on Autopista Suroriental. Shortly before midnight, she was riding a motorcycle northbound when, for reasons that have not yet been determined, she lost control and crashed into a pole.

The impact was so devastating that it literally tore the young woman’s body in two. Isabella suffered devastating injuries incompatible with life and died at the scene. Police officers, traffic agents, and emergency responders arrived at the scene, secured the area, and began an investigation.
The exact cause of the accident has not yet been determined. Excessive speed is one of the possibilities being investigated, but authorities have not confirmed this theory. There were also reports of a damaged sewer cover near the crash site, but it is not known whether it had any role in her losing control.
