Nigerian criminal seriously injured after clash with police

NIGERIA Nigerian police seriously injured a criminal during an arrest. Even though he was no longer resisting, they nearly severed both of his legs with a machete. While the situation in Nigeria is challenging and some may sympathize with the police, this behavior is completely unprofessional and a violation of human rights. Organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have long warned that the police often use excessive force, torture and execute detainees, and fail to properly investigate police operations.
