His younger siblings, who were floating nearby in an inflatable ring, tried to help but were too afraid to approach because he was thrashing his arms wildly and might have dragged them under as well.
Sadly, the incident ended in tragedy. Although his siblings called for help, he was already dead by the time it arrived.
The lesson from this is not to overestimate your abilities in front of a camera. Many lives have been lost in the pursuit of a good shot or a story for social media. Life is the most valuable thing you have.
