GARANHUNS, PERNAMBUCO, BRAZIL – JANUARY 11, 2025 42-year-old electrician, Pedro Eliseu Vanderlei de Santana, an employee of Vencer, was fatally electrocuted while performing routine maintenance on one of the high-voltage poles. The accident occurred in the rural area of Garanhuns in the Agreste region.

Shortly after the accident, Pedro became wedged on the pole and had to be rescued by firefighters. The electric current caused necrosis on his arm and many internal burns. He unfortunately died of his injuries in hospital.
The police are currently investigating the causes of the accident.
