SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – OCTOBER 6, 2025 Security cameras captured the moment when a 62-year-old man was punched in the face by a man who ran up to him. The assault occurred without any prior interaction or obvious motive.
The elderly man fell to the ground and hit his head. He was taken to the emergency room for treatment but, fortunately, his injuries were not serious, and he was released home the same day.
The attacker was identified as Guilherme Mendonça da Silva and was apprehended shortly after the incident by military police. He was taken into custody and will face charges of bodily harm. His motive remains unclear.
