MANAUS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – JUNE 28, 2024 Man identified as 21-year-old Lucas Pereira, also known as “Olhão,” was assassinated by hitmen from the PCC faction. They came for him at a construction site on Penetração 2 Street in the Novo Aleixo neighborhood, where he worked as a bricklayer.
At the moment the killers arrived, Lucas was holding work tools and standing on a construction stool. He was clearly surprised and had almost no chance to react. After several shots, he fell dead, and one of the hitmen fired additional shots to ensure his death.
According to witnesses, there were two killers who immediately fled the scene after the shooting. A colleague working with Lucas was unharmed but suffered psychological trauma from witnessing the incident up close.
The identities of the killers have not been uncovered to this day, making it likely that his murder will remain unsolved. Lucas reportedly had no involvement in gang activity, though witnesses stated that he used drugs.
