BRENTWOOD, NEW YORK, USA – APRIL 4, 2025 Police officers from Suffolk County were called to the home of 54-year-old Bruce Boyd, located at the intersection of Zane Court and Wurz Street. The door was opened by his desperate wife. When the officers entered, they saw Boyd covered in blood, holding a knife, with injuries he had likely caused to himself.
Despite repeated commands from the officers, he refused to drop the knife and ran toward them dangerously. This led to the officers’ rapid reaction, and they began shooting. Although Boyd received immediate first aid, he was pronounced dead after arriving at the hospital.
