ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA – AUGUST 24, 2022 28-year-old Anastasia Kochervey was a Russian celebrity who became famous for participating in various reality shows and for her activity on social media. She first appeared on TV in 2017 on the show “Let’s Get Married!”, where people search for a romantic partner. In 2018, she participated in the reality show “Dom-2”, in which many people live in one house and try to find a romantic partner. Before gaining fame, she attempted modeling, competed in beauty contests, and worked as an administrator in a fitness club.

Her life, however, was far from easy. At the age of four, both of her legs were paralyzed, and her mobility was only restored after years of treatment. Her partner, Andrey Shabarin, whom she met on the reality show Dom-2, abused her both mentally and physically. In one episode of the show, he forced her to eat a cockroach in exchange for a car.

Her best friend, Olesya Malibu (real name Olesya Kozhevnikova), said that Anastasia used addictive substances almost daily and did not resist wild parties. She allegedly also worked as a high-class escort. She was reportedly involved in blackmailing a wealthy client – trying to lure him away from his family so he would financially support her, threatening to tell his wife everything if he refused.

On August 21, 2022, all of Anastasia’s activity stopped. She posted nothing on social media and did not appear in public. Her mother became worried because she wasn’t answering calls. A search was immediately launched, which unfortunately ended tragically. Her half-naked body was found in the Duderhof Canal near the Gulf of Finland. She was already in an advanced state of decomposition, holding BMW keys in her hand.

Identification due to decomposition was made only through DNA testing. The owner of the car, whose keys she held, was never traced. Similarly, no one was ever convicted of her murder. Olesya is certain, however, that the wealthy man from Moscow whom Anastasia was blackmailing had her killed on contract.
