BRAZIL Employees at the medical institute received the dead body of a murder victim into the morgue. She had been strangled with an improvised cloth ligature by an unknown perpetrator. The ligature remained wrapped around her neck, which is standard procedure – forensic experts compare it with the strangulation mark, and there is a chance it may contain biological material that could help identify the killer. Although neither the detailed autopsy results nor the investigation findings were ever made public, she was reportedly killed over drugs.
