VERA CRUZ, BAHIA, BRAZIL – JULY 25, 2024 Man’s decapitated body was found on the side of BR-367. He was later identified by family members as 31-year-old Danielo José Santos de Araújo. Two fingers were missing from his hand, suggesting he was defending himself against a machete attack before he died. There was a knife wound to his skull. Danielo had been missing for several days before he was found.
