VILLAHERMOSA, TABASCO, MEXICO – MAY 7, 2026 In the early morning hours, a large fire broke out at the Parque Tabasco Dora María fairgrounds. The fire hit Hall No. 1, where events connected to the fair were taking place at the time.
Tabasco Governor Javier May confirmed that five people died in the fire. Firefighters and emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the blaze began and managed to bring the situation under control. Work then began on cooling the area and clearing debris. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
