The event took place at a time when crowds of people were gathering in the city center to celebrate Vietnam’s 2-0 victory over Thailand in the first match of the ASEAN Cup final.
The footage shows a person sitting on a bench or chair who suddenly catches fire. Several people present then attempted to intervene and extinguish the flames using a fire extinguisher. Short videos of the incident subsequently began circulating on social media.
