According to local reports, the attackers fired indiscriminately at people on the streets and in nearby shops. Residents tried to flee and hide, but the gunmen chased them. Preliminary estimates say that at least 27 people were killed in the attack, with some sources reporting even higher numbers and additional injured people who later died in hospital.
Authorities condemned the attack as a brutal act and launched extensive security operations in the area. Several suspects were later arrested, and the case is being investigated as an organized violent attack with a possible terrorist background.
