NIZHNY NOVGOROD, RUSSIA Serious violent incident occurred in which a man was shot in the head after a conflict in a bar. According to investigative information, the case took place in the evening when two groups of people were socializing in a venue on the outskirts of the city.
The situation escalated after an argument inside the bar, which continued outside in front of the building. According to witnesses, one of the men called the other outside to “talk.” However, as soon as the other man stepped outside, the attacker pulled out a weapon – a flare gun or signal pistol – and shot him in the head at close range.
After the attack, he got into a BMW car, left the scene together with his partner, and fled. The injured man was transported to hospital in critical condition.
The suspect
Police launched an extensive search and the suspect was arrested the following day. Investigators later reclassified the case as attempted murder and initiated criminal proceedings. The motive was said to be a personal conflict between the participants in the argument, which quickly escalated into a violent act.
