CHINA – JANUARY 25, 2018 Three boys were on their way to school when they dangerously attempted to cross a busy road. They ignored the red pedestrian light and ran into heavy traffic, where one of them was struck by a passing car. Sadly, the boy succumbed to his injuries.
The incident is a harsh reminder for parents about the importance of teaching children road safety. Young children are still developing their ability to recognize danger, understand the consequences of their actions, and accurately judge the speed of approaching vehicles. Parents should gradually teach them to navigate situations independently while setting clear safety rules. Just as importantly, adults should lead by example and never ignore those same rules in front of their children.
