Man assassinated inside supermarket in Brazil

ANAPU, PARÁ, BRAZIL – JUNE 11, 2026 Sandy dos Santos Costa was shot inside a supermarket in the city center. He was shopping when an attacker fired several shots at him. Costa died at the scene.

A supermarket employee was also hit during the attack. She was taken to the hospital and, according to available information, was not in life-threatening condition. Three 9mm shell casings were found at the scene. Security cameras captured the attack, and police launched a search for the shooter.
