FORTALEZA, BRAZIL The dismembered and decapitated body of a woman was found in an abandoned lot. One whole arm and several fingers had been chopped off, suggesting that she had been tortured before her death.

According to videos circulating on social media, she had been kidnapped and executed by a local gang, who reportedly had evidence that the victim was linked to a rival faction. The woman was no innocent. She was under court-ordered electronic surveillance and house arrest at the time of her death.
