MONTREAL, CANADA – MAY 24, 2012 “1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick” is one of the most famous gore videos on the internet, depicting the murder and subsequent sexual abuse of the body of 33-year-old Jun Lin. The killer was 30-year-old Luka Rocco Magnotta (born Eric Clinton Kirk Newman).

Luka and Jun were both gay and met through an internet dating site. After spending the evening together, Luka invited Jun to his home. There he drugged him and brutally murdered him. He dismembered, disfigured and sexually abused his corpse. He recorded the entire event on video, which he subsequently published on the Internet. The goal was to shock.
Interestingly, the video of Jun’s murder was the last of a series of videos that Luka made and posted on the Internet. Before that, he filmed the murders of kittens, which he posted anonymously on the Internet to outrage people. A Facebook group was even created because of him, where people actively participated in the search for the author of the videos. There was also a whole series on Netflix about this.

Luka Rocco Magnotta suspected murder case, Canada - 2012
An international manhunt has been launched for porn star and suspected murderer Luka Rocco Magnotta. Magnotta is suspected of killing then dismembering his victim before posting a number of body parts to a series of targets. Montreal police have issued a countrywide arrest warrant for Magnotta and he has also been added to Interpols wanted persons list. The move comes after police discovered a mans torso near to the apartment Magnotta was renting. On the same day a foot was mailed to the Liberal Party of Canada in Ottowa. A hand was also found at a postal warehouse in the city in a package addressed to the Liberal Party of Canada. Testing revealed that the three body parts belonged to the same man. According to reports there is also a video that shows the crime taking place
