SANTARÉM, PARÁ, BRAZIL – MARCH 12, 2025 On Cuiabá Avenue, in the Esperança neighborhood, a tragic traffic accident occurred, claiming one life. The driver of the car, identified as Rafael Thales, hit a motorcyclist and then crashed head-on into two electric utility poles. He died at the scene.

The motorcyclist, Jean Barbosa Silva, suffered very serious injuries to his leg. The car literally tore off part of his leg. Fortunately, doctors managed to save the most important thing—his life.
Witnesses of the accident stated that the cause was the high speed of the car’s driver. This was also confirmed by later conclusions of the police investigation. The exact speed at which the vehicle was traveling was not disclosed.
