Body found with skinned face

JAÇANÃ, RIO GRANDE DO NORTE, BRAZIL – JUNE 9, 2025 In the small community of Jaçanã, residents who heard gunshots from afar went to investigate and discovered a horribly mutilated male body. The victim’s facial skin had been stripped away, and part of his skull was missing, indicating he was likely executed by a close-range gunshot to the head. Police are currently investigating the motive behind this brutal killing.

While the victim’s identity remains unconfirmed officially, many suspect he was 19-year-old João Paulo from Nova Floresta. His family had reported him missing for some time and asked the public to help by sharing his photo. They revealed he suffered from a mental illness and frequently experienced epileptic seizures.
