LAGOS, NIGERIA – JULY 17, 2025 Amos Daniel, along with a group of his friends, checked into a hotel located in the Ayobo Ipaja district. Later, his alleged girlfriend Endurance (some sources say wife) joined them. In the evening, strange and loud noises started coming from their room, prompting other hotel guests to alert security.

Security knocked on the door, but no one answered, so they were forced to use a spare key. Upon entering, they found his girlfriend lifeless, lying in a pool of blood with numerous injuries inflicted by a sharp object.
After the body was discovered, hotel security raised the alarm. Two of the suspects managed to escape, but Amos Daniel was apprehended near the entrance gate. Before the police arrived, he was reportedly beaten by hotel staff.
During the beating, he allegedly confessed to killing Endurance for ritual purposes. Some reports even claim she was gang-raped in the hotel room – possibly even after death.
In parts of Nigeria, belief in magic, supernatural forces, and black rituals still exists. Human sacrifices – usually of women or children – are believed to bring wealth or business success. Some also believe that performing a sexual act on the victim before or even after death can enhance the ritual’s power.
