According to local media, the man was bedridden and used a wheelchair. Police officers found the woman right beside her father, and according to the police report, she confessed to the crime.
A peculiar circumstance of the case is that Ediene recorded the attack on her mobile phone. The footage shows her father injured and lying on a bed while she continues attacking him with a knife. The video later appeared on social media and became part of the police investigation.
The woman told police that she had felt intense anger toward her father for a long time. She also claimed that he had allegedly assaulted her in the past and that she had been subjected to alleged sexual abuse while caring for her sick father. However, police are still investigating these allegations, and they have not been independently confirmed.
