MANAUS, AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – AUGUST 20, 2019 Body of a woman identified as Maria de Lurdes Palheta was found in a motel room on Lobo D’Almada Street. She was lying completely naked in a pool of blood in the shower stall. It appears she had her throat slit.

It was later revealed that Maria worked as a prostitute and had checked into the motel with a client to provide sexual services. Their check-in was captured by security cameras.
