MEXICO, 2016 Near an abandoned hut, the dead body of a young woman was found. She was lying semi-nude in a position typical of victims of sexually motivated crimes. Rape was later confirmed by an autopsy, which also determined the cause of death as strangulation.

Although the victim was identified as an 18-year-old woman, her name was never released. The police investigation further suggested that more than one perpetrator may have been involved in her death. She was last seen alive by her boyfriend when she was leaving his house. However, she never returned home.
Despite all the work of police investigators, they were never able to gather enough evidence to lead to the arrest of the perpetrator. The case therefore remains unsolved.
